Join Brenna McClintock, MC, MA, RP, CCC for an engaging presentation exploring OCD through the lens of complex trauma. Brenna will present her Stuck Situation frame for Brainspotting, a model that processes at the roots of complex trauma to interrupt persistent patterns of behaviour, including OCD, disordered eating, and addiction. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice the frame, debrief, and ask questions, gaining practical tools to apply in their own clinical work.
Bio:
Brenna McClintock, MC, MA, RP, CCC, is an Indigenous Canadian psychotherapist and Brainspotting Consultant who brings a warm, puzzle-piecing approach to understanding complex relational trauma. With training in Brainspotting, AF-EMDR, SE, and DBR, and nearly a decade of experience, she blends her background in developmental therapy and research with a deeply depathologizing lens to help clients and clinicians make sense of patterned survival strategies. Brenna specializes in supporting and teaching therapists as they navigate the nuances of complex trauma work, including how relational histories can shape the OCD presentations we see in the therapy room, and how Brainspotting can open space for healing and integration.
